Cinque Terre Altar

A burst of peach roses, cream lilies and white daisies frames a sun-drenched ochre wall in the Cinque Terre, cradling a cobalt-blue niche where a framed Madonna and Child glows at the center of it all. Annie Bates-Winship's eye catches the devotion embedded in an ordinary village street. Warm light rakes across cracked plaster and ceramic vases, turning a modest shrine into a composition of remarkable beauty. The image carries saturated warmth, a sense of quiet ritual and the surprise of discovery, all in a single frame. Collectors drawn to travel photography, spiritual imagery, or simply the joy of color will find this piece rewarding to live with.
