The Long View

There is a particular quality of light that arrives on overcast mornings in high country — not the drama of a sunrise, but something quieter and more interior, a light that seems to come from the land itself rather than the sky. This painting is about that light. Dana Christensen grew up on the East Coast, drawn to places full of memory and atmosphere, and came West to fall in love with vast open spaces and the contrast between sea, mountain, and desert.
