Horseshoe Bend

Painted from the same clifftop vantage that draws thousands of visitors to Page, Arizona, this canvas takes on Horseshoe Bend's famous curve of the Colorado River from directly above. Jenny leans into the color contrast that makes the spot so photographed — river blue-green against deep rust and ochre sandstone — but pushes it toward something closer to abstraction than photograph, the water almost glowing from within. The thousand-foot drop comes through in confident, sweeping brushwork rather than sharp detail. It's one of her most graphic, color-forward National Parks pieces, built on pattern and light rather than the layered geologic realism of her canyon interiors.
