Ruidoso 2022

This is pure Beuttler at his most instinctive — a raw, kinetic impression of the American Southwest that crackles with the energy of a seasoned artist who has lived inside these landscapes. Loose charcoal lines slash and arc across warm washes of canyon rose, sandstone ivory, and burnt sienna, building a visual momentum that pulls the eye deeper into fractured stone and open sky. There is nothing tentative here. Every mark is decisive, every layer earned. For the discerning collector, this work sits at the intersection of Abstract Expressionism and plein-air landscape tradition — a rare combination that gives it serious depth on the wall. It doesn't just hang — it commands a room. Works of this calibre from established Marin artists with Beuttler's exhibition and professional history represent strong acquisitions for collectors building a focused American West collection. This piece is not a decoration; it is a conversation.
