Sonoran Climb Sunset

The work pulses with a rare dual vitality: the spontaneous freedom of plein air observation fused with the compositional authority of a seasoned MFA and industry professional. Nothing here is timid. The bold charcoal lattice tears through blushes of terracotta, parchment, and dusty mauve with the confidence of an artist who has nothing left to prove. The layered complexity rewards prolonged viewing: each session reveals new geological rhythms, shadow pockets, and planes of light that shift like the desert itself at golden hour. Hanging this work is a statement. It brings the monumental scale of the American Southwest into intimate dialogue with its viewer, commanding a wall with the quiet authority of earned experience. This is not decorative art — it is collected art, the kind that anchors a serious collection and starts conversations that last.
