Loose

This is watercolor unleashed — raw, kinetic, and utterly fearless. John Beuttler's panoramic abstraction surges across the picture plane like a desert storm breaking open, forms colliding and cascading in an electric interplay of charcoal, crimson, warm earth, and flashes of vivid color. Every brushstroke carries the authority of an MFA-trained artist who has also lived in the visual trenches of Hollywood and the ad world — this is not decoration, this is visual power. The wide horizontal format amplifies the work's cinematic sweep, commanding attention the moment it enters a room. Beuttler's signature loose, flowing watercolor language — honed across location paintings in the US Southwest — is here turned inward, exploding into pure abstraction that pulses with energy and movement. Bold black ink contours anchor the chaos while color bursts through, creating a tension that keeps the eye moving and returning. For the discerning collector, this is a statement piece. Large-scale, museum-quality in presence, and rooted in a career spanning fine art, film, and design, this work represents Beuttler at his most uninhibited. Invest in a piece that will dominate a wall — and a conversation — for decades.
