Sayulita Morning

This is a painting that moves — not quietly, but with the confident sweep of an artist who has spent decades translating raw experience into pure visual energy. John Beuttler layers dusty rose, warm taupe, and flashes of antique gold in bold, gestural strokes that surge and tumble across the canvas like a desert storm caught mid-breath. There is nothing tentative here: every mark is deliberate, every collision of tone a decision made by a master of the form. For the discerning collector, this piece offers what so few works can — a living tension between control and release. Beuttler's MFA training and his years in film production have sharpened his eye for composition and drama, and both are fully on display. The warm earth palette reads beautifully against modern interiors — stone, concrete, linen, wood — while the gestural energy ensures it never recedes into decoration. This is a painting that commands a wall. Acquiring this work means owning a piece from an artist whose career spans fine art, film, and teaching — a rare creative depth that only deepens the investment. As Beuttler's profile continues to grow in the Marin and Bay Area art community, early collectors stand to hold something genuinely significant.
