Skipstone

Fluid ink lines race and spiral outward from a luminous center, corralling cascading washes of ochre gold, dusty slate, burnt sienna, and blush rose into something that feels simultaneously wild and inevitable. This is not a painting that sits quietly on a wall; it commands the room. Every collector who encounters this work feels its pull immediately. The layered transparency of the watercolor medium — Beuttler's signature 'Impression' style — creates a depth that rewards extended looking, revealing new passages and chromatic relationships with each viewing. It is a piece that evolves with you, making it a genuinely lasting investment in both aesthetic and emotional terms. Originally rooted in Beuttler's Southwest landscape sketching practice and shaped by his years in the San Francisco art world, this piece carries the DNA of place, motion, and creative mastery.
