Collaboration

A true two-hands piece: a hand-carved wooden panel — its scalloped, flower-like silhouette pierced with open cutouts — becomes the canvas for one of Kat's most beloved characters, the White Rabbit, caught mid-thought inside a jewel-toned medallion of magenta and blue. Hand-painted violet blossoms creep across the wood grain itself, blurring the line between the carved base and Kat's brushwork. Three sculptural butterflies, cast and painted with real dimension, perch across the piece as if they wandered in from the garden at its center. Part painting, part relief sculpture, entirely collaborative.
