Agave

**Agave** Bold, sculptural, and full of character, this agave commands attention with its sweeping green leaves and striking coral-pink flower stalk. Its strong, radiating form creates a beautiful contrast against a richly layered background of vibrant orange and blue. This mixed-media collage brings together botanical imagery, vintage maps, sheet music, printed text, and handwritten elements to create a visual story about nature, place, and the experiences that shape us. A dragonfly, fragments of language, and unexpected bits of ephemera reward a closer look, while the contrasting colors and graphic black lines give the composition an energetic, contemporary feel. A quotation about paying attention to life's mysteries and finding grace in everyday moments adds another layer of meaning. The agave itself seems an appropriate subject: resilient, distinctive, and quietly extraordinary. It is a celebration of the natural world and a reminder that there is often more to discover when we take the time to look. **12" x 12" | Mixed media on gallery-wrapped canvas**
