Behind the Red Curtain

A centered female figure in an abstracted white gown stands with arms folded and eyes lowered against an expressive cerulean-blue field alive with gestural marks, raw sienna undertones, and red accents. A bold vertical panel of cadmium red anchors the left third of the composition, creating sharp chromatic tension with the cooler, more atmospheric right. The mood is quietly dramatic — contemplative yet charged — and the physical depth of the paint surface adds sculptural presence to a work that sits confidently between figurative and abstract painting.
