the rest doesn't matter

Oil, graphite, oil stick and conte on canvas by painter Shanna Bruschi featuring two abstracted back-facing figures rendered in charcoal-black and raw sienna against a layered ground of cerulean teal, dusty blush pink, and bleeding crimson. Red paint drips anchor the foreground with visceral urgency. The mood is simultaneously intimate and raw, blending figurative presence with abstract expressionist energy.
