The Walking Man

Oil on canvas by painter Shanna Bruschi, featuring a solitary abstracted figure — viewed from behind, mid-stride — set against a richly textured field of burnt orange, saffron, and amber gold. A deep indigo ground anchors the composition at the base, while the figure's cool slate-blue jacket provides a striking chromatic counterpoint to the warm surround. The mood is contemplative yet forward-moving — bold, warm, and quietly cinematic.
