Adage

Graphite on canvas by Bay Area painter Shanna Bruschi featuring an abstracted ballerina figure seen from behind, rendered in blush pink and warm flesh tones against a dramatic, layered abstract field of midnight navy, cerulean blue, and chalk white. The composition bridges figurative and abstract expressionist traditions, balancing precise figuration with raw painterly freedom. Mood is both contemplative and charged — a quiet figure poised at the edge of a turbulent inner landscape.
