Wild Winds

The square-format composition presents an abstracted landscape in a sweeping palette of pale mist grey, deep plum, warm cream, soft lavender, and a vivid crimson accent. Dark, densely textured masses in the lower left and along the horizon suggest terrain and weather, while a broad luminous passage of cream and lavender dominates the foreground and a bold flash of red-green energises the upper right. The surface is physically dimensional — scored, built, and scraped — making texture as much a subject as color. Mood is simultaneously brooding and luminous, dramatic and contemplative.
