Sea Turtles

This is Sherri Lynn Carroll firing on all cylinders — a dazzling, large-scale acrylic that pulls you straight under the surface and refuses to let you go. Two luminous sea turtles, rendered with the precision of her early photorealistic watercolor training but ignited by her signature surrealist color, dominate a canvas alive with electric blues, teal aurora sweeps, and a constellation of white starlight dots. Around them, a flotilla of fire-capped jellyfish trails ribbons of crimson and magenta through the deep, while glowing nautilus shells spiral in warm sunset hues along the lower edge — every element a trademark creature from Sherri's beloved Lively Vortex universe. This piece is a collector's dream on multiple counts. Carroll has spent more than two decades building a reputation across California and Hawaiʻi as a muralist and fine artist whose ocean work carries genuine emotional authority — she paints the Pacific because she lives it, from the windward shores of Kailua to the memory of San Francisco storefronts she brought back to color in 2020. The density of imagery here — turtles, jellies, nautiluses, and shimmering light rays all resolved into a single harmonious composition — demonstrates the full range of her craft and makes this a statement work in any collection. Available as a one-of-a-kind original acrylic and as a premium giclée print, this painting commands a wall. It is the kind of work that turns a living room into an experience, and its vivid palette holds brilliance in both natural and artificial light. Invest in a world that glows.
