Under Water Lovers

This electrifying original acrylic by Sherri Lynn Carroll is a full-sensory plunge into her most signature underwater world — and it delivers everything her collectors have come to treasure, turned up to full volume. Two figures meet in a breathless kiss at the canvas's heart while glowing spirals of molten orange and gold radiate outward like the pulse of the ocean itself, pulling every element — curling octopus tentacles, drifting jellyfish, jewel-striped nautilus shells — into their luminous orbit. The color alone commands attention: deep cobalt blues, electric emerald greens, and fiery corals collide with the precision of an artist who trained in photorealistic watercolor and never lost the discipline underneath the exuberance. This is Sherri at her most ambitious and most personal — a painting that belongs equally to the tradition of romantic surrealism and to the living, breathing reef. Every inch rewards close looking: tentacles detailed with individual suckers, jellyfish trailing gossamer threads, nautilus eyes gazing with quiet intelligence. The glowing spiral motif reads as energy, as heartbeat, as the invisible force that draws two beings together across the strangeness of the deep. For collectors, this piece is a rare convergence of Sherri's full skill set — surrealist composition, luscious marine subject matter, and an emotional narrative that gives the work lasting resonance on any wall. Original acrylics of this scale and complexity from an artist with over twenty years of professional practice and a growing Hawaii presence represent exceptional value. This is the kind of painting people build a room around.
