Octopus Energy

This is Sherri Lynn Carroll at full Lively Vortex power — a blazing, burnt-orange octopus commanding the canvas with all eight tentacles unfurled, its luminous green eyes locking onto the viewer with ancient intelligence and quiet ferocity. Set against a swirling cosmos of midnight cobalt and deep jungle teal, with neon flickers of pink, yellow, and turquoise spinning like bioluminescent confetti, this painting pulses with the same electric energy you feel standing at the ocean's edge at night. It doesn't hang quietly on a wall — it radiates. Painted in Sherri's signature acrylic style, the piece bridges her decades of photorealistic precision with full surrealist freedom. The sucker-lined tentacles curl and spiral with anatomical confidence while the star-scattered background evokes Van Gogh's night sky reimagined beneath the Pacific. Every brushstroke carries the muscle memory of a muralist who has painted leaping steelheads on propane tanks and octopuses on boarded-up San Francisco storefronts — this is art built to stop people in their tracks. For collectors seeking a statement piece with genuine provenance, this is a rare find: a large-format, original acrylic from an established Hawaii-based artist whose work is already held in private collections across the US. Bold enough to anchor a living room, specific enough to start a conversation, and joyful enough to change the energy of any room it enters. Invest in the vortex.
